Earlier today, the University of Uyo town campus gates were shut down, pe9ppe and vehicles we not allowed entry into the school community.
From findings, it was discovered that the action is in accordance with the order of the Nigerian Universities Commission (NUC) given out to all universities across the country to shut down every activity for thirty days, starting from today, Monday 23rd March, 2020 to prevent the further spread of the COVID19.
In the photo taken by our Correspondence, students, business owners inside the school and members of the University community were seen clustering outside the school first gate.
